Mark Wright rivalry with Towie brother over Home Alone house: Ours is best’

Mark Wright and Michelle Keegan's stunning Christmas decorations on their £3.5million Essex are the talk of the town – including with his TOWIE brother Josh Wright.

Mark and his Corrie actress wife Michelle, both 36, revealed their grand home covered in twinkling fairy lights, completing the look with a huge tree in the hallway and light-up reindeers in the garden.

Speaking exclusively to OK!, Mark's brother Josh, 34, joked about a rivalry between the pair when it comes to their Home Alone-esque elaborate set ups – pointing out the fact Mark roped in some professional help.

“If Mark was up a ladder throwing them all up himself it would be different,” Josh joked. “This is all handmade and just me and Hollie. We think our tree’s the best, they think their tree is. It is what it is, but we love what we’ve got!”

Former Towie star Mark shared his reveal video on his Instagram account, and thanked the Liverpool-based company 4 Seasons Events LTD online for helping them create their “Christmas heaven”.

Refusing to be outdone, brother Josh told OK! they were planning two trees, decorating one in a Disney theme for their two young children Josh, 20 months, and baby Dustin, who was born 12 weeks early in February.

“To have both boys this year will be something really special and we can’t wait,” professional footballer Josh said.

“We’ve got one tree up and the other is going up tonight – Hollie’s making a Disney tree for the boys. I’ve got to go and pick up a few outdoor trees today and we’re doing lights all outside and in the bushes. We love it!”

Josh and Hollie, who married in 2018, will be spending Christmas day at the home of Josh and Mark's parents Carol and Mark Wright Sr.

For the dad of two, who plays for National League side Ebbsfleet United, it's important that family is at the heart of all their festive fun.

“With everything going on in the world at the moment, Christmas is a time for people to come together and relax a bit,” he said.

He continued: “We love everything about it – the socialising, all the food and drink. And now, with the boys, Santa will come down the chimney and it’ll be even more special.”

The couple are still doing their last-minute Christmas shopping – and will be doing Secret Santa with Mark and Michelle – and an electric two-seater car is top of the list for their kids.

“It’s all about the kids now and they love anything with wheels,” Josh said. “Dustin can be the passenger, then he can drive it when he’s big enough.”

Dustin was born 12 weeks in early in February, weighing just 2.4lbs and spending eight weeks in hospital before being allowed home.

The couple is now working with Pampers to raise awareness of the difficulties for families with premature babies.

“It’s hard to look back on it and think about it because we went through so much and it was a really hard time mentally and physically,” Hollie said. “But I’d love to raise awareness and help other parents.”

The nappy brand is currently offering their Preemie Protection range – which is specially designed to fit around medical lines and leads – to families for free.

Pampers has launched a new online platform that delivers nappies for premature babies to parents’ homes for free. Visit pampersforpreemies.pampers.co.uk for details
